World celebrates Mother’s Day today

Of course, I will also celebrate and give special honor my wife, Gloria, the mother of our four children. About 50 countries across the world celebrate Mother’s Day. What are some of the facts and traditions that revolve around the celebration?

When we are 5, we say, “My mommy knows everything”. In 1914, Woodrow Wilson, the 28 US President, signed a proclamation that every year second Sunday in May be celebrated as Mother’s Day. The church is now home to the International Mother’s Day Shrine.

If you belong to the second category, you can probably promise her this Mother’s Day that you will try to see her more often in years to come.

To those who still have their mothers around, take the time to make this Mother’s Day special.

I seems that a lot of people celebrated Mother’s Day early last week.

In the United States, the history of the celebration goes back all the way to the 1900s. My mother-in-law never made me feel like she is not my biological mother. Every problem what a kid faces, the mother is the only solution for every children’s problem.

Classic mom, Mr. Mom, single mom, stay-at-home mom, work-all-day-and-still-does-the-laundry mom, foster mom, adoptive mom, birth and biological mom, mother figures, flawless and not-perfect mom. “I am lucky that I am going to spend the day with both of them”, she says.

The word “mother” is mentioned in the Bible almost 250 times showing God’s priority in respecting motherhood. She’s great. She loves our five children and three grandchildren. They share our joys and feel our sorrows even more deeply than we do.

Coming up on another Mother’s Day, I hope all of you take the time to appreciate your moms.
