‘Trump’s climate claims on China, India false’

The United States – the world’s second largest greenhouse gas emitter after China – pledged in the Paris climate deal to reduce emissions that contribute to global warming by 26 percent in a 20-year period by 2025.

European Council chief Donald Tusk, after meeting with visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Brussels, said the EU and China “are convinced that yesterday’s decision by the United States to leave the Paris agreement is a big mistake”.
