The White House said there is nothing unusual about press secretary Sean Spicer’s absence from the briefing room on Monday, insisting that he couldn’t speak from the podium because he’s taken on more responsibilities.
She’s a White House correspondent for the New York Times and has called for President Trump to keep policy out of his tweets.
During Monday’s press briefing, deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked the same question – are Trump’s tweets “presidential statements?” – and Sanders replied, “That come from directly from the president’s Twitter account? No”.
Coincidentally, I have argued that Trump blocking American citizens from accessing his tweets might be unconstitutional. “They hate that I can get the honest and unfiltered message out”. Marco Rubio’s presidential bid, said of the president.
Of the 559 positions in the federal government that require Senate confirmation, just 39 people have been confirmed, and Trump hasn’t nominated anyone to fill 442 of them, according to a list compiled by The Washington Post and Partnership for Public Service.

Let’s talk about policy. “Pat Cunnane’s tweet inspired me and I had an hour to kill while my kids napped and I was avoiding doing dishes”. White House counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka clashed with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
“One hundred characters is not policy”.
Monday was another one of those days: a day in which the president of the United States woke up, grabbed his phone, and began to tweet out whatever was on his mind while he, it seems, watched television.
Throughout the campaign, Trump used his massive social media following as a way to drive news cycles and settle scores. “It’s social media. Please understand the difference”.
GORKA: For now 20 minutes. Trump even called his proposed restrictions on travel from six Muslim majority nations a ban.
“I am calling it what we need and what it is, a TRAVEL BAN!” the president wrote. But Kellyanne Conway says media should stop “obsessing” over what he says there.
