Warriors’ Green stays in Game 4 after technical foul fiasco

Golden State lost Game 5, which began an unprecedented fall from a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

CLEVELAND Draymond Green was ejected … and then he wasn’t?

If the Warriors can close out the tough-to-eliminate Cavs on Monday, they would become the first Bay Area team to capture a championship at home since the A’s finished the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1974 World Series. I empathize with the men and women who are responsible for reffing managing a game, not only because they have to make a 50/50 decision within a second, but because every call is under scrutiny from millions upon millions from both teams. “It’s just the next game in line”.

“No, I feel this is the game we’ve got to get”, he said, “or it’s over”.

“The intensity level rises”.

Circumstances are looking eerily similar right about now. “Listen, at the end of the day, we want to just try to put ourselves in position to play another game, and we did that”. He said he didn’t even watch the Finals a year ago, while he was still a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.”Totally different situation”.

But it’s quite the exception when the Warriors’ volatile forward seemingly has a technical wiped off the books.

“In that moment, I thought I had verbalized to the table that the technical foul was on Coach Kerr”, Goble told pool reporter Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press.

“I’ve won one on the road”. It took a long season of excellent basketball, and a lot of soul-searching for the Warriors’ emotional leader, who yearned for restraint – a better grip on letting go, so to speak.

When Green fouled Iman Shumpert in the first half during a jump ball situation, a technical foul was assessed to Steve Kerr but it was announced and recorded as Green.

As it turns out, the first technical foul called on Green was actually given to Golden State head coach Steve Kerr during that tipoff at mid-court. When Green was then hit with a technical foul, Quicken Loans Arena erupted in the belief he’d be ejected. Green did. He said it, wore it, remembered it, hoping to redeem himself this season.

“Absolutely not”, Green responded. “Let me get my money’s worth if I’m going to get some techs”.

“I don’t pay much attention to anybody in Cleveland, obviously”.

It tells me that they all knew Draymond had just received his second technical foul. After calling out the refs for losing control of the game, Mary retweeted someone who said Game 4 was “absolutely rigged for money”.

“Absolutely not”, Green said sounding insulted anyone would think that would be the case.
