South Korean curling team earn 1st win at Winter Olympics

Curling’s kind of a gentleman’s game, so it’s kind of nice to be a part of that atmosphere.

“It’s the first time that they have ever had like a two-on-two slot format in the Olympics”, Matt Hamilton told InsideEdition.com before he and his sister set off for the games.

Curling was contested as a demonstration sport at the 1932, 1988 and 1992 Olympics. But recent Winter Games reveal grounds for scepticism.

The two Canadians will spend the day regrouping before Thursday game (6:05 a.m. ET) in South Korea against the United States.

“We know there were some issues with that same organization and doping”. She led the Canadians to gold in the women’s matches just four months after giving birth to her first child.

Curling debuted at the first Winter Olympics in 1924, and could be a new club activity in Jacksonville soon.

“The people who have heard about curling, maybe seen it on the Olympics or have a friend or relative who’s done it have come out in droves”, explains Scott Hoss with the Curling Club of Rochester.
