Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’ Season 2 Probably Isn’t Happening

Netflix has finally brought back Jessica Jones Season 2, and it couldn’t be too soon. They’re not the Avengers, right? She tells her client as much, and later, she tells herself the same: “That’s not me”. Its boss, Price Chang (Terry Chen), plans to absorb Alias and use Jessica’s new popularity to gain more money. The series also explicitly called out Kilgrave’s abuse as rape.

Nine times out of ten, a gumshoe blessed with super strength, the power of flight, a hair trigger temper and a stare icy enough to make glaciers look hospitable probably doesn’t need protection. The directness of the parallel stands alongside the pulpy plot progression of a comic book, giving it the necessary amount of distance to make it compelling television.

“I remember when I got the episode script when that happened”. She realizes her rage pushes people away and you do see her working on it, with great unease. It’s made them feel better about what they’ve been through in their own lives.

Ingrid (Leah Gibson), a street-smart nurse, will also join the “Jessica Jones” Season 2 cast. She has a shady boyfriend that even after Jessica’s stamp of approval you can not bring yourself to trust; a frightful, abusive mother that you want to slap across the face and a disgusting past and secret of her own that hits a little too harsh in the current milieu of the Time’s Up and #MeToo. Which, even if she directly dealt with Kilgrave last season, means she begins the second season still denying things and wavering on the path to recovery.

Streaming now on Netflix, Jessica Jones Season 2 stars Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, J.R. Ramirez and Janet McTeer. “It is what it is”, she said.

She’s got something about her. And is it possible that IGH – the company that mysteriously paid all of Jessica’s medical bills – used these 20 days to experiment on Jessica and turn her into the superpowered woman she is now? Initially, Jessica is not interested in digging up her past.

This Marvel comics character chronicles the life of a former superhero living in NY. Her present is about to slam into her past as the show continues to venture into some cool, sexy, dark and morally questionable places. She finds a very interesting photo of Kozlov standing alongside Simpson and other soldiers – is it possible one of them is the “monster” that’s threatening everyone? Episode seven’s I Want Your Cray Cray also seems to harken back to those events, with Jessica on her knees in the foreground while a fiery auto wreck blazes behind her. That’s the heart of the show, the relationship between Trish and Jessica. “To play somebody with her kind of issues was something I’d never done before…”

That’s one of the focal points in Season Two: The mental toll superheroism takes on superheroes, and how super status complicates spiritual healing. Their continued efforts to be there for her suggests they see she has a good heart buried under so much pain. Understandably, Jessica suffers from PTSD and depression after an event like this.

The superstrong protagonist of Jessica Jones got her powers from the vehicle crash that killed her entire family.

Krysten added that ‘she’s, like, mean, mean amusing. This doesn’t come as a surprise, Jessica is overprotective of Trish and did her research on Griffin. Will denied it, and said someone more powerful was the cause – the “monster” that was after Trish, who he stalked to protect.

The second season will focus on the show’s supporting characters and Trish is featured on a couple of the covers.

In season two Jessica Jones is still haunted by Kilgrave, the man who once abducted her
