Donald Trump calls James Comey ‘slippery’ ahead of television interview, book release

If you’re not watching American Idol or The Good Fight, you’re watching a special interview about the moral bankruptcy of Donald Trump.

“You can not have, as President of the United States, someone who does not reflect the values that I believe Republicans treasure and Democrats treasure and independents treasure”, Comey said.

Comey also said that serving in Trump’s administration poses a serious ethical dilemma. I don’t buy this stuff about him being mentally incompetent or early stages of dementia. Comey remembered Trump saying, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go”.

And I-I think-look, I haven’t talked about this.

“I (would have) been able to say with high confidence about any other President I dealt with, but I can’t”.

The former attorney general never specifically mentioned using the word “matter”, but in her statement, she explained that she followed a “long-standing policy” to neither confirm nor deny the fact of an ongoing investigation. “Again, I don’t care what your views are on guns or immigration or taxes”, Comey added. The most important being truth.

He added, “I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I’m sure that it was a factor“.

On Monday, Cohen – along with other attorneys for the president- went to court to try to stop Federal investigators from looking through files taken without their review. “That’s our foundation. And so impeachment, in a way, would short-circuit that”.

After an hour of trashing Comey’s character and reputation, Trump posted that he barely knew Comey, his favourite way of distancing himself from a contentious figure.

Halper was speaking with Fox News’ Eric Shawn about Comey after he spoke out against President Donald Trump in an interview that was aired on Sunday. “We’re just another player in the tribal battle”.

The Hatch Act is a USA federal law that prohibits those in the executive branch of the government, other than the president, vice president and other high-level officials, from getting involved in some forms of political activity. While I’m typing, I can hear my editor’s voice ringing in my head: ‘Bring the reader with you, show them inside your head.’. Where are we as a country? “I don’t think so”. Not in the way we normally talk about in this country.

“He didn’t have any insight into the case, at least as far as I know, more than anybody readin” the newspaper did, which was zero “cause there were no leaks”, Comey said.

Two years after the election, the two USA political parties remain entrenched in tribalism, with representatives from both halves angry at Comey.

“Something else occurred to me about President Trump at that dinner that I found very instructive”.

“His presidency is doing, and will do, tremendous damage to our norms and our values, especially the truth”.

Comey also says he found out he was sacked from television reports.

“But I’m an optimistic person”.

“I was a bit disappointed and unsettled by that interview that I saw last night”, Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Charlie Dent shared.
