Donald Trump calls James Comey ‘slippery’ ahead of television interview, book release

The former attorney general never specifically mentioned using the word “matter”, but in her statement, she explained that she followed a “long-standing policy” to neither confirm nor deny the fact of an ongoing investigation. “Again, I don’t care what your views are on guns or immigration or taxes”, Comey added. The most important being truth.

He added, “I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I’m sure that it was a factor“.

On Monday, Cohen – along with other attorneys for the president- went to court to try to stop Federal investigators from looking through files taken without their review. “That’s our foundation. And so impeachment, in a way, would short-circuit that”.

After an hour of trashing Comey’s character and reputation, Trump posted that he barely knew Comey, his favourite way of distancing himself from a contentious figure.

“Something else occurred to me about President Trump at that dinner that I found very instructive”.
