INC will become ‘Puducherry Punjab Parivar Congress’ after Karnataka polls: Modi

“During a 2007 Goa Assembly poll campaign speech, then Congress President Sonia Gandhi had assured Goa that Mahadayi river water will not be shared”, recalled Modi addressing a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally in Gadag, about 380km from Bengaluru. The political thrust behind Modi’s reference on Saturday seemed to be intended at pitching BJP as the only viable alternative to voters disenchanted with Congress. “While Congress and JD (S) fight here in Tumakuru, their leaders in Bengaluru have made a pact (in Bengaluru corporation) and elected a mayor”.

Incidentally, Raj is a Congress contestant in the C.V. Raman Nagar assembly segment in the city’s southeast suburb against P. Ramesh of JD-S and the two-time legislator S. Raghu of BJP. Saying that money is paramount for Congress, the Prime Minister noted that funds were channelized from the state to the party headquarters.

“On May 15, BJP will form the government with a full majority…”

This time, he has posted a video titled “Karnataka’s Most Wanted”, wherein he has named and shamed BJP chief ministerial candidate for the state BS Yeddyurappa and 11 other leaders. “This is a deliberately created coincidence”, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said.

“I want to ask the Congress and its leaders do you do the right thing when you make a distinction between criminals on the basis of caste, sect and tradition?”

“There is no way this kind of corruption can be tolerated”, he reiterated.

Karnataka will go to polls on May 12 and the results will be out on May 15.

Earlier, Mr Modi addressed election meetings at Tumakuru, Gadag and Shivamogga.

“Congress needs to be punished for ensuring Karnataka has a better future”, Modi said. “Sir, we have always championed the 3 Ps of democracy – “Of the People, By the People, For the People”, Siddaramaiah said in a tweet shortly after Modi’s attack. He said Congress is so used to spreading lies and that it is unable to digest any party speaking the truth. JD (S) is standing very far. The Chief Minister said that he wrote more than four letters to the Prime Minister appealing him to intervene but he did not respond.

This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. “The BJP government that will come to power and the BJP government in Delhi that is committed to the cause of farmers will work together to bring a change”, he said.
