That will require mending fences with the Europeans; helping Israel and the Gulf Arab states coordinate and improve their intelligence and security systems; cracking down on Iran’s illegal weapons shipments in the region; and persuading China and Russian Federation that the Tehran regime is a threat to their interests as well as to the West’s.

The documents suggest significant conceptual progress in warhead design, but it is unclear whether the Iranians know how to produce the bombs or whether its missiles have the capability to deliver them.

That Trump doesn’t heed the New York Times’ counsel is not surprising, and I suppose he deserves credit for being honest.
