Cavaliers’ Finals date with Warriors doesn’t look so hot

May 31 06:52 2018

The Cavaliers dropped both meetings against Golden State this year, but they still got rock-solid performances from Kevin Love in both. If the now injured Andre Iguodala returns to play at some point in this series, he’ll be one of just eight players to have played in all four Cavaliers-Warriors Finals (Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Shaun Livingston, JR Smith, Tristan Thompson and James are the others).

It’s hard to believe anyone could be under the radar in an NBA Finals that features two teams that have faced off the last four years.

“King James” has been to nine National Basketball Association finals in total, winning with Miami in 2012 and 2013, and Cleveland in 2016. In fact, the Warriors are the biggest favorites in an NBA Finals for the last 16 years, according to data compiled by Sportsoddhistory.com.

Once the buzzer sounded and the 101-92 Game 7 win over Houston was official, the Warriors could exhale.

The jersey line up for competing teams in this year’s NBA Finals has been revealed.

Just this week, Kylie Jenner and rapper boyfriend Travis Scott were papped at game seven of the Western Conference finals between the Warriors and Houston Rockets – oh, and rapper Drake is a “global ambassador” for the Toronto Raptors.

There is no doubt LeBron James will explode on one or more occasions (put your money on more), but there is little possibility that it will matter in the long run. Players who choose to endure the relentless mental pressure and physical pounding for 15 or 20 years are rare. The hunger has grown exponentially after the Game 7 defeat in the Western Conference finals.

The fact that this team sleep-walked through the regular season only to make another final has got to be a thorn in the side of the mass National Basketball Association fandom public.

In Game 4, LeBron James stepped over Golden State’s Draymond Green and was struck in the groin.

“I think it’s up it other teams”, he said.

Let’s take a look at three reasons why the Houston Rockets’ season came to an end before reaching their goal of an NBA Finals appearance.

“Any time you have a team led by someone that’s considered the greatest player of all time, or one of them, there’s going to be an interesting dynamic with the team-mates”, Kerr said.

“I could be sitting in the Bahamas right about now, but I’m glad where we’re at”, he said, happy to postpone any offseason vacation plans.

James has willed his Cavs this far, saying, “I don’t know how I can compare it to other seasons because I can only think about this one in the present”.

Out East, LeBron and the Cavs fell to fourth place, while Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers all finished with a better record.

Still, he says the Cavs are 12-point underdogs in the first game. I mean, it may not be as suspenseful as a lot of people may want it to be or as drama-filled, but that’s what you’ve got movies and music for.

To win this series, Cleveland is going to need all the help it can get from players like Jeff Green, Tristan Thompson, George Hill, J.R. Smith, and Kyle Korver.
