Well, eagle-eyed viewers (who may or may not be wearing golden-eagle chest plates) no doubt noticed the probably-evil lady in the trailer who’s wearing a half-mask on her face. And it’s not just any kind of screen time. We first met Gal Gadot’s modern Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in “Batman v Superman”, when she was wiser and more cynical about humanity.
In ideal fashion, the trailer ends with the epic Wonder Woman theme and a little bit of humor about principles and early 1910’s nobility. Pictures is keeping anticipation high for the film with a brand new trailer that debuted this week. This movie looks damn good.
The film is set 100 years ago, during “the war to end all wars“. So it’s thrilling to see them embracing some of Wonder Woman’s more delightfully ridiculous characteristics – like her bullet-deflecting bracelets, featured in not one but two sequences in this trailer alone.
Basically the perfection of this new trailer reminds me of a quote I once heard by my dear friend Beyoncé: “Who run the world?”
The sexiest superhero and super villain women in Hollywood film.
It’s pretty exciting to wait on what’s in store with the new trailer.
So, yeah, Artemis goes a little dark later on in her life, but that dark side clearly only adds to her willingness to jump off cliffs in the meantime.
It could be true even with Trevor allowed to be a strong male heroic figure, along with a terrific supporting cast of military men played by Said Taghmaoui and Ewen Bremner.
Wonder Woman has been 75 years in the making, as the first live action film to have the Amazonian warrior in a lead role. While I was cautiously optimistic about Suicide Squad, and it was at the very least entertaining, Wonder Woman already looks as though it’s in a league of its own.
Either way, the rest of Wonder Woman’s “courage” “power” and “wonder” will be in full display in theaters on June 2, 2017. She appears to be involved in the development of “weapons far deadlier than you could ever imagine”.
