A £30 million move for Real Madrid‘s out of favour attacking midfielder Isco could be on the cards for Manchester City, according to reports from Spain.
The Premier League giants, who defeated Watford 2-1 on Saturday to remain three points behind league leaders Arsenal, are readying a January move for the Real Madrid star during the mid-season transfer window.
Isco was a key player under Manuel Pellegrini at Malaga and City tried to sign the playmaker when the Chilean arrived at the Etihad as manager in 2013.
However, he seemingly can’t hold down a regular spot at Real Madrid as he has to challenge the expensive trio of Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez for a starting berth.
Although an important first-team player, the 23-year-old is understood to have grown unsettled of late, and reports claim that both Manchester clubs are eager to offer him an escape route.
The Spanish could join Manchester City this winter on a loan deal that would be made permanent next summer.
It would not be a good sign to see Isco leaving the club.
