LeSean McCoy led in rushing with 140 yards and three touchdowns in 19 carries while Taylor complimented 68 yards in eight runs.

“In the past we’ve gotten confused against their running game”, Miami linebacker Jelani Jenkins said.

“I don’t know who put it up there, but the message was received”, Ajayi said. So why did the team risk further injuring him by playing him at all? Arian Foster? It was telling that not only was he limited to just three carries, but it was Damien Williams who took over for Ajayi late in the game as Miami attempted to run out the clock.

The Dolphins scored first for the second consecutive game and the third time overall on Franks’ 36-yard field goal on the game’s first possession.

Last week, Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi became the first National Football League player to reach 200 yards rushing in a game this season.

Brady”, Ryan said. “But, it’s not about validating ourselves.

“(Ajayi) made some good runs, ran through some tackles. I felt great going into my cuts, warming up, running, cutting, I felt good.

“We’re not trying to toot our horns, and I know things were looking ugly for us in certain games”, Albert said. Entering the season, Ajayi was left at home from the Dolphins opener against the Seattle Seahawks. Andrew Franks converted a 36-yard kick to give Miami a 3-0 lead. McCoy struggled against the Dolphins’ defense in the 28-25 loss, and then left in the third quarter after re-injuring the hamstring. McCoy injured his hamstring a year ago during training camp and was hampered throughout the first half of the season, missing two games.

Tate’s play was Buffalo’s 11th punt downed inside the 20 for the season.

Kenny Stills came down with the pass and ran it into the end zone for a 66-yard reception. While quarterback Tyrod Taylor and wide receiver Sammy Watkins have also played key roles, the team lives and dies by McCoy’s runs and it was his string of strong performances that pushed the team’s four-game winning streak.

His dominance continued in the second half.

Over his two varsity seasons at Liberty, Ajayi rushed for 3,867 yards and 55 touchdowns as he helped lead the Redhawks to the third round of playoffs in both years. Miami’s drive was 7:32 long on 15 plays. Jarvis Landry (5 – 78) and Ryan Tannehill (15/25, 204 yards, TD) connected on a 21-yard completion on the drive.

The Dolphins (3-4) used an extra lineman much of the time to clear big holes for Ajayi, who tied the record for consecutive 200-yard games held by O.J. Simpson, Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams.

Without McCoy, the Bills offense went completely stagnant. In between those two, Miami did not score but continued to build offensive momentum, gaining 59 yards.

The Dolphins (2-4), meanwhile, are coming off a surprising victory over Pittsburgh – their best game yet under first-year coach Adam Gase.
