Ajayi scores in overtime, Miami tops Cleveland 30-24

The Browns scored with a Terrell Pryor run bringing the game to 24-21.

There is good news for Cleveland, in that the Indians are on the verge of clinching the AL Central and the National Basketball Association champion Cavaliers open training camp this week.

Miami built a 24-13 lead early in the fourth quarter, but the Browns fought back to tie the game with 3:14 left on a Cody Parkey 38-yard field goal.

Playing both good and bad at times, their is no doubt winners and losers from this game. “I can’t say enough about the job Terrelle Pryor did”, receiver Andrew Hawkins said.

“We’re going to come back next week and have a great practice and go try to beat the Redskins”.

“We have to get through today and figure out tonight what we want to do, as far as who’s available and what we can do”. Kessler completed his first five passes for 36 yards, Kessler led a scoring drive to end the first half and was 8-of-11 for 76 yards in the first half. He caught eight passes. “There have been very few times where I’ve really thought, ‘Are we just trying to get the ball to this guy?’ I don’t even thing that’s really happened in a game, yet”.

Hue Jackson said on Monday, a day after the Cleveland Browns lost in overtime against the Miami Dolphins, that the team isn’t losing in hopes of getting the No. 1 overall pick in next spring’s draft. Cleveland came into Miami starting their fifth quarterback in as many games.

But new placekicker Cody Parkey, just signed the day before, missed wide left from 46 yards out, his third miss of the day, on the final play of regulation. We’ve had many conversations about the 2016 Browns already, and once you acknowledge that all the tank talk and rebuilding talk has already taken place, it’s much easier.

Cleveland took possession with 6:17 remaining at its own 6-yard line. He missed three of his six field-goal tries September 25, including a 46-yarder that would have won it on the final play of regulation.

“I didn’t have any discussions with him, I’m done discussing any of that stuff with players”, Gase said.

However, despite his impressive performance last Sunday, he blames himself for the loss that the Browns suffered at the hands of the Dolphins.

Jackson said it’s easy to fault Parkey, but there are numerous variables that go into a kick. He wants to get every call from the officials, and they’re not going to do that all the time.

Jackson said outside linebacker Nate Orchard will be out for a while with a high left ankle sprain and cornerback Tramon Williams is day-to-day with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder. “There was one to (wide receiver) Jarvis (Landry), he threw it in that area knowing, ‘There’s nobody there if I could get a second to get it there.’ That’s the frustrating part about playing quarterback”.

It was one of three turnovers by Dolphins’ quarterback Ryan Tannehill. “I’d rather be more cautious with him and get him for the duration than rush him back and lose him again”.
