After Baldwin’s first post-election result show, Mr Trump ironically responded to SNL’s sketch about his obsessive tweeting habit by tweeting.
The actor has revealed he will play Mr Trump on Saturday Night Live on 21 January, just a day after he is sworn in as President. But who knows? The day is still young. And we have have got some of the biggest performers in the world lined up.
Then the president-elect took names of some A-list celebrities who will be turn up at his inauguration ceremony including Angelina Jolie and Ryan Gosling.
The running gag of the 7-minute skit involved reporters asking Trump questions regarding a dossier that was released last week that suggested Trump once paid for prostitutes to perform “golden showers” during a trip to Moscow, Russia.
He tried to steer away from “pee pee party” jokes to the “thick stream of jobs” he said he’ll bring into the country. This country will be literally showered in jobs.
‘I think for a lot of people regardless of your political persuasion, that’s not what you’re tuning in for, ‘ he said.
Reporters weren’t just going to drop it, though, despite Trump’s palpable excitement about Three Doors Down agreeing to play his inauguration.
He also announces that he has “turned over all my business to my two sons, Beavis and Butthead”.
Man, SNL really packed a bunch of the headling-making antics of president-elect Donald Trump into this one sketch, and it worked out pretty well.
“No, I’ve got somebody even better: Steve Harvey”, Baldwin said, referencing Trump’s recent meeting with the TV host, as Kenan Thompson-as-Harvey took the podium for a round of Family Feud. “No, it was Canada”. It was Meryl Streep. OK. Thank you all for peeing here, I mean for p***ing here, I mean for being here, ‘ Trump stuttered.
The only truly solid sketch of the night was the first post-monologue scene, a spoof of The Bachelor clearly written by someone who’s spent way too much time absorbing the dating reality show. She opened the show dressed as Leia.
