Angelina Jolie files for divorce from Brad Pitt

Celebrity Insider adds that the decision to divorce has to do with how Pitt is parenting their children and that Jolie is upset over his methods, but there’s no outside person who contributed to the move.

This afternoon Brad Pitt released a statement, telling People magazine, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids”.

Pitt and Jolie have been the source of speculation about their relationship nearly since the beginning. The divorce was filed by Angeline Jolie Pitt, who filed for a divorce. It was such a difficult decision and it was so hard for her to make.

Angelina Jolie on Monday filed for divorce from her husband of 2 years, actor Brad Pitt, according to a report from TMZ.

Brad and Angelina were last seen out together in July, just ahead of their second anniversary, when they took their twins Knox and Vivienne out for a birthday breakfast in West Hollywood.

She cited “irreconcilable differences” and has asked for physical custody of their six kids. The couple did have some issues in the recent past with Brad being totally smitten by his 12 Years a Slave co-star Lupita Nyong’o and Jolie’s alleged crush on Jared Leto. reports of Brad finding Jolie going back to the dark side (her troubled past) which bothered him Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara.

Jolie was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller, whom she divorced in 1999, and Billy Bob Thornton, whom she divorced in 2003.

The eyebrow raising detail, besides the end of what appeared to be a fairy tale marriage between two of the world’s most attractive people, is the specific request from Jolie for physical custody of their children.

Jolie, who is also being represented by acclaimed celebrity attorney Laura Wasser, listed her official date of separation from Pitt as September 15.

The news came as a shock to many on social media. If this carries out, Pitt would receive visitation rights. She is seeking sole custody of the couple’s six children, and is not asking for spousal support.

The couple fell in love during the making of 2005’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, when Brad Pitt was still married to Aniston. “To face these issues together and speak about them and talk about what it is to be human, I think can be a lovely thing”. The star-powered pair also has three adopted children: Maddox (from Cambodia), Pax (from Vietnam) and Zahara (from Ethiopia).

She has also been a well-known symbol in the battle against cancer, having undergone a double mastectomy and removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes to prevent an aggressive form of the disease that killed her mother, aunt and grandmother.
