Anti-Trump rallies held as part of ‘Not My Presidents Day’ demonstration

“We refuse to acknowledge him as our president, as his actions so far have shown to be anything but in the best interest of the American people“.

Thousands of flag-waving protesters lined up outside Central Park in Manhattan. Chants included “No wall, no registry, no white supremacy” and “Black lives matter”. That the protesters were able to attend in only light jackets during the normally bitter Chicago winter was itself a testament to the threat the Trump regime’s climate denialism and aggressive stance on oil extraction poses to humanity.

They held aloft signs saying “Uphold the Constitution Now” and ‘Impeach the Liar’.

“Fear is contagious”, said Mike Stutz of Los Angeles who painted his face orange and sported “Orange Fever” placards with Laurel Trotter and Rob Adler.

Others made their way to the Federal Building on Golden Gate Avenue, where about 50 people gathered for a soggy rally.

“I think if five people wake up in the morning they didn’t wake up yesterday and decide to suddenly pay attention to what’s going around them”.

In the nation’s capital, hundreds gathered in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, some likening Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

A rally supporting President Trump’s America-first policies is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 27 at 12 p.m. on the west steps of the state Capitol. Allyson said she hopes Warren will run for president in 2020, when she’ll be old enough to vote. Those are just some of the cities where people used President’s Day to protest the president.

Countless individuals at the protest claimed they will rise to this external situation and plan to continue to make their voices heard.
