Apple Inc. Stock Rides On iPhone 7 Demand, But Reports Are Mixed

Many users have replied to this user reporting that they’ve been facing the same issue. The issue specifically to do with the battery inside the iPhone 6s leads to unexpected shutdowns of the device, which Apple claims is due to a faster battery degradation. A large number of consumer complaints have not been effectively resolved.

According to Computer World, Apple has released a statement saying that the battery issues are affecting only a number of iPhone 6s models and the company is not heading towards a global recall of the handsets in opposition to the on-going rumors.

First, some background. Back in November, a consumer protection group in China asked Apple to investigate problems with random shutdowns affecting the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.

Apple’s iPhone 6S has worn the brunt of complaints about the device shutting down even though up to 30 per cent of its battery charge is left.

But some users whose phones fell outside the range have complained that their phones have been affected by similar troubles.

Apple has intentionally designed the iPhone to allow the device to automatically shut down under certain conditions, such as extreme cold temperatures.

The software update that Apple mentions in the release is nearly certainly iOS 10.2, which is now in its sixth beta build. In an unusual move for Apple, the company also confirmed it’s beginning an investigation into the additional reports though. Mainly, Lithium ions build up over time and slow down battery life.
