As with the iPhone 6, which debuted in 2014, the phone is expected to be available in three different sizes – 4.7-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch. It is speculated that at least 600 engineers are working for the company just to make the sensor, making it the first product to be introduced in the company’s new headquarters.
Apple has always been lashed out at for not doing a lot about the design of the iPhone. Revenue fell 9 percent to $46.9 billion, and the company sold 45.5 million iPhones, which is 2.5 million fewer than in the same period a year ago.
This time past year Apple was on top of the world. For the 2016 fiscal year, its annual sales fell about eight percent, resulting in an 18 billion dollar decline from last year. A year ago, both figures were at $51.5 billion and $11.2 billion, respectively.
The company moved away from the large 6-inch screen we saw in the iPhone 6 range with the iPhone SE and the iPhone 7.
The current plans for the iPhone 8 model include a “glass sandwich” chassis, which incorporates an AMOLED display. It is worth mentioning that Apple has yet to disclose any official information about the rumored iPhone 8, everything mentioned are rumors that are floating about to date. It is also attempting to woo iPhone 7 users to shift their hands towards the upgraded and unique glass bodied iPhone 8.
Apple is all set to launch iPhone 8 next year on its 10th anniversary. iPhone 8 will see a completely new design as compared to the previous versions. The back covers will be supposedly provided by the China-based manufacturer Biel Crystal Manufactory and Lens Technology.
And design-wise, the handsets will feature all-glass backs held together by a metal frame, similar to the pictured iPhone 4. And the metal frame to hold them together is supposed to be delivered by China’s Foxconn, Catcher Technology, and US -based company Jabil.
