New Delhi, Feb.14: Tech giant Apple has now over 11 million music subscribers.
Apple is notoriously reluctant when it comes to discussing sales numbers related to the company’s new products and services. Spotify now has 20 million paying subscribers while 75 million subscribers listen music for free. In time, Apple should be able to exceed both those totals at this rate. Cue also took a moment to tease Apple CEO Tim Cook’s infamous blurry Super Bowl photo, which he deleted shortly afterward due to relentless trolling on Twitter.
The executives additionally tell Gruber that Apple is developing a Remote app for Apple TV.
Back in December, Apple Senior VP Eddy Cue commented that the Remote app for iOS was being overhauled to be compatible with the latest Apple TV, giving users all the functions of the touch pad remote right on their iPhone, including playback controls and voice-enabled search. Apple is processing 200,000 iMessages a second, which works out to 17 billion a day. In fairness to other streamers – Apple Music does have a global, multi-billion dollar company behind it.
Maybe we fix it in iOS 10, maybe we fix it in…9.3″, says Federighi, “we don’t necessarily…have a great way to decide when we want to communicate to you that there is a release it’s going to be fixed in.
Apple Music has 11 million subscribers, while iCloud has over 782 million users. It seems the source was well-informed, as a recent interview with Apple executives Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi shows. Cue finalizes his statements explaining, “we’ve got a new refresh, with the new version of OS X coming out next month, that makes it even easier to use in the music space”.
