Apple’s new 4-inch iPhone is reportedly called the iPhone SE

According to the world’s largest carrier – China Mobile – roadmap revealed in December past year, the said 4-inch iPhone scheduled for March-April release is to be dubbed Apple iPhone 7C.

The last iPhone having a 4-inch display was the iPhone 5s.

KGI also reports the iPhone SE will come with a 12-megapixel camera instead of the rumored 8-megapixel camera from the iPhone 5s.

The next big announcement set to take place is the iPhone SE.

Pricing: If reports prove to be accurate, the new iPhone SE will be priced around $400 to $500.

A new report over the weekend has also claimed that Apple will not include 3D Touch as part of the iPhone SE.

Industry expert believes that the iPhone 5se could be a sleeper hit for Apple unlike the past years had an uneventful second quarter. The launch of the new iPad Pro will see Apple slim down its tablet portfolio, as the original Air and older iPad minis will be taken off sale.

Apple is also rumoured to launch a new iPad at the event. It is believed that the iPhone SE and the new iPads will be unveiled on the 15th of March, while it was previously believed that an event will be held on the 21st of March.

Expect multiple new colours for the rubber Sport Bands, additional colours for the line of Hermès bands, a black version of the Milanese Loop, and an additional band range made from a new material. In 2015 we heard many rumors that the iPhone 6c was right around the corner, but the new reports and sources suggest that this could finally happen.

The leaked display images are shown side-by-side against an exposed iPhone 6S unit for comparison. On Saturday, rumour had it that it would be called the iPhone 5se to reflect how similar it is to its predecessor.

A 9to5Mac source, who leaked the design, claims that the dimensions of the iPhone 5se “are indistinguishable from the iPhone 5s, meaning that the new device will fit inside of existing iPhone 5s cases”.
