Ubisoft‘s announcement of The Ezio Collection is no surprise, as it leaked previously in multiple ways.
In a not-terribly-surprising move, Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will make its way to PS4 and Xbox One on november 15. Europe has to wait two days, and will receive it on the 17th. The Ezio Collection contains all of the DLC for each game, but multiplayer is not included. If you dove into the Assassin’s Creed series with Black Flag or Syndicate, the remastered collection presents an ideal opportunity to revisit some of the games that helped define the franchise’s story and gameplay. The Ezio trilogy is set during the 15th century Italian Renaissance and Assassins Creed II is widely regarded as the best entry in the franchise by fans. Check out the new Assassin’s Creed photos in the gallery below. Embark on Ezio’s final adventure as he walks in the footsteps of his great mentor, Altaïr, on a journey of discovery and revelation in 16th-century Constantinople and the heart of the Ottoman Empire.
As expected, The Ezio Collection features all three last-gen Assassin’s Creed games starring Ezio Auditore da Firenze – Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations – with visual enhancements for PS4 and Xbox One.
The three games represent the period when the series was at its critical peak, in no small part due to protagonist Ezio’s cheerful, sarcastic personality, and Ubisoft admits that, “for many [the trilogy] remains the definitive Assassin’s Creed experience”.
Also, everyone who buys The Ezio Collection gets a free movie ticket to see Assassin’s Creed, up to $8.
