Beckham: People’s sexiest man alive

But he said he’s not sure that he is deserving of the title – and doesn’t think of himself as sexy. “I’m very pleased to accept”.

“I never feel that I’m an attractive, sexy person”, he said.

The retired soccer superstar, 40, can’t believe he was awarded this year’s accolade by PEOPLE magazine as he thought his age would shrink his chances of winning. “I would hope she thinks that anyway”, Beckham told People.

He has maintained his “sex symbol” status despite being a father to sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and daughter Harper, 4. Chris replied, “Thank u @jes_chastain for your kind words & timely reminder that I’m now over the hill”. “Sexiest man alive? Really?” he said.

Prior to the tweet, the revelation was made on Jimmy Kimmel Live where Kimmel initially disguised Beckham’s voice and hid his face from the audience.

During an interview, Beckham stated, “It’s the best moment of my career”.
