Belichick: Surging Chiefs hard to plan for

January 10 20:01 2016

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Tyvon Branch (27) and defensive end Allen Bailey (97) celebrate against the Houston Texans during the second half of an NFL wild-card playoff football game Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, in Houston.

The Texans were so flat and erstwhile Patriots quarterback Brian Hoyer was so generous that the Chiefs were never really tested on Saturday. The believe is based on their ten straight win to finish the regular season and also thereafter they dominated the Houston Texans recently, in Saturday’s 30-0 first-round playoff victory. If the Chiefs can get Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware going, this will be a great game and perhaps a glorious one in the end. Still, the Chiefs have more than a puncher’s chance in this game.

It wasn’t a super exciting game, but hey… That’s a long time. “The Royals are doing good, the Chiefs are doing good; So when you get into a pattern of winning and winning it adds to the mental power”.

Cincinnati running back Jeremy Hill fumbled, the Steelers drove, and the Bengals lost their composure, which was probably inevitable for a team that clearly can’t be Lewis’ to coach anymore. They held Houston to zero points and kept all of the momentum on Kansas City’s side, which is exactly what you want in a playoff game (or any game for that matter).

The Chiefs have one of the better defenses in the league that has a knack for forcing the turnover.

The KC offense wasn’t spectacular, but they didn’t have to be when the defense plays the way that they did. Quarterback Alex Smith is playing with more confidence and making tougher throws, while also leading all National Football League quarterbacks in passer rating and completion percentage.

If Maclin is unable to go, rookie Chris Conley would take his place against the Patriots. James White led in receiving with 63 yards in two catches. “I’m happy for the Hunt family and for the fans of Kansas City”. Of course, the Broncos will be starting Peyton Manning for the first time since he was put on ice after his Week 10 meltdown.
