Benedict Cumberbatch Had to ‘Step Out of Comfort Zone’ for Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the superhero Doctor Strange himself is praised for his performance. Thor tells unusual that Loki and he are looking for their father, Odin, and odd offers to help him. It’s not completely radical; it still climaxes with a big carnage-filled showdown – in Hong Kong, no less, home to a spirit world sanctum protected by The Ancient One. The Doctor Strange Rotten Tomatoes rating stands at a sizzling hot 97 percent as of the time of this post, with 36 positive reviews against just one negative opinion.

Yesterday in Hollywood, Marvel Legend Stan Lee surprised Marvel Studios’ youngest fans at a screening of DOCTOR STRANGE at the legendary Hollywood El Capitan Theatre.

The Sherlock star also recalled a scene filmed on one of Manhattan’s most famous streets as particularly memorable.

The role of the “egotistical, selfish and materialistic” USA neurosurgeon was “really intriguing”, Cumberbatch explains.

“The more I thought about it the more I liked the idea”, Derrickson confessed.

When the director was asked why no actor was officially credited for the role, Derrickson explained exactly how Cumberbatch landed the smaller role.

Cumberbatch says he also understands why he and high-profile individuals like sports presenter Gary Lineker have been criticised for comments on the refugee crisis.

Even so, never could I have anticipated the extent to which this latest comic-book movie would transform my previously jaded attitude towards superheroes, world-saving and special effects. As a kid I think, the closest I ever got to dressing up was Batman at a birthday party and I loved that, don’t get me wrong.

We were actually sort of right. And not just the Joker, also Two-Face.

This came from an arts desk or any kind of news outlet going, “Oh we really need a story”, so they sort of shipped out this quote which said that I said, “This is the last one”, which is not what I said”.

Early screenings of Marvel’s new superhero movie Doctor Strange were met with praise from fans and critics alike, who applauded the talent of star Benedict Cumberbatch.

Doctor Strange will return” promises a final caption – a repeat prescription to raise the spirits.

McAdams said it was “incredibly important” to have strong female roles, both with the high-powered neurosurgeon Christine and the figure played by Swinton.

“And she totally caught me out”. They’re all great and we’re all so psyched to be a part of making this film. I didn’t get almost enough time with Tilda – she’s so wonderful. So I did go through quite a lot.

All in all it’s a cool and very enjoyable film, but for me it felt safely familiar.

“So it seems very timely, I think it’s tapping into something that’s in the psyche out there”.

It could nearly be a tagline for the film itself.
