On Wednesday night, the star’s hometown newspaper, The Staten Island Advance, reported that she has not responded to treatment and that her husband, Neil Murphy, and family members are by her side in the hospital.
Big Ang appeared on “The Dr. Oz Show” on Tuesday to her hopes and depression as she battles cancer.
For the past five years, Ang has been the face of VH1’s “Mob Wives“. The star was getting ready to throw a party, when she discovered that the cancer had spread to her right lung and brain. Many of them lived with her, and she often shares the pivotal role they play in her life. “One day I was perfectly fine, thinking I had strep throat, the next thing I know, I have stage 2 throat cancer“. Angela underwent an eight-hour surgery to remove a tumor the size of a lemon that was blocking Raiola’s airway and making it hard for Raiola to breath. Weeks later, a doctor’s prognosis showed that chemotherapy wasn’t working.

Raiola gave fans a look into her cancer battle on an episode of “Mob Wives“, which is in its final season, earlier this month.
Ang said on the show that her two children, six grandchildren and extended family were her anchor throughout her illness.
