Beloved Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola will be laid to rest in a Staten Island cemetery, according to a representative for the star.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at Brooklyn’s Scarpaci Funeral Home Saturday to bid farewell to reality TV personality Angela “Big Ang” Raiola.
However, she was later diagnosed with stage IV lung and brain cancer.
The TV star died from complications of cancer in a hospital after she contracted pneumonia.
“She told us at the bar that she was sick”, Burkette said.
“The last time she spoke was yesterday”, Raiola’s sister Janine Detore told Radar.
As details of her final hours rolled in, we learned about Big Ang’s final words and the outpouring of love and support that she enjoyed just before her death.
Raiola was the niece of the late Salvatore “Sally Dogs” Lombardi, was a captain of the Genovese family.
Marissa also confronted Drita about possibly being the person who has been telling people that her husband, Lee, had a phone call with Marissa’s boyfriend, O.Z., in which he said that their women should “play nice”. In 2001, Big Ang and 15 others were arrested for dealing and distributing drugs like crack, cocaine and marijuana.
However, it was Ms. Raiola’s raspy voice, tall and buxom appearance (she was said to stand 5-foot-10) and ability to add comic relief and common sense to tense situations that made her a fan favorite. “Prayers for her family”.
The New York Daily News reported that in 2001, Raiola served four months under house arrest after pleading guilty to selling cocaine.
Big Ang passed away from cancer earlier this week and her longtime friend and real estate broker, Laird Klein, is helping with the deal.
“I am saddened to say that at 3:01 a.m., Ang lost her battle with cancer“, Jennifer Graziano, creator and executive producer of “Mob Wives“, said. Big Ang even claimed in Dr. Oz that she was already “done” with relationship and would rather be alone spending time with herself.
