Clinton is doing well with various groups; she leads among voters who describe themselves as “very liberal”, “somewhat liberal” or “moderate to conservative”. “She figures out how to get things done and she does them”.
There’s still an FBI investigation looming over Clinton’s candidacy and Sanders has surprised many in his ability to rile up grassroots support. Trump’s numbers were even worse: just over half of independent voters in Wisconsin said they were “very uncomfortable” with Trump as president. Black voters have made up more than half of the electorate in every democratic primary in Beaufort County except for 2008, which saw unprecedented voter turnout in predominantly white precincts. Maybe Sanders won the majority of Latinos in Nevada.
Ben McGill, an undecided voter from Andrews, South Carolina, suggests Clinton’s tactics have worked.
According to Myrtle Beach Online, state Representative Gilda Cobb-Hunter (D-66) believes Clinton and Sanders are “taking their cue from the national conversation”, instead of focusing on what SC Democrat primary voters believe to be important.
“We bailed them out and now it is their turn”, Sanders has said.
Of course, delegates are awarded proportional to vote count in the Democratic primary, so no candidate will win all the delegates from any state (outside perhaps Vermont).
