Fisher, best known as Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” franchise, died December 27 at age 60 after a heart-related medical emergency on a flight from London to Los Angeles four days earlier, said USA Today.

Billie Lourd, herself an actress, posted the Instagram photo from when she was a child, and said she had “no words” to express how much she will miss them.

As Lourd praised her mother about setting a strong example for her, she said her mother “told me to be true, and kind, and confident in yourself”.

The next day, Reynolds suffered a stroke while at son Todd Fisher’s home in Beverly Hills planning the funeral arrangements for her daughter.

A private family memorial will be held for the late Star Wars actress, according to Entertainment Tonight. And- I knew- I knew that if Carrie wasn’t gonna survive this that Debbie would not.

He told the Daily News shortly after Debbie’s death: ‘She wanted to be with [Carrie]. Charisma runs thick within this family, and so we’ve compiled some of the best shots of both Reynolds and Fisher for a look back on their story together. Paramedics removed her from the flight and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she died on December 27.

Meanwhile, Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd yesterday (January 2) thanked fans for their support following her mother’s death.

“I sat with Debbie, and she said to me that she was praying for more time”, Joely explained.

She also said she had concerns about her “frail mother” Debbie Reynolds, who passed away just a day after her.

Joely added: “You could feel it in her tiny little attractive body”. In her guest column, she revealed, “During our transcontinental chat before Carrie’s fateful flight from London to L.A., we promised we’d spend Christmas together”.

Lourd followed in her mother’s footsteps appearing in the new Star Wars movies. Share in the comments your well wishes for Billie and your favorite stories about Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher.
