Chargers Bring Victory for Fans in Possible Last San Diego Game

The San Diego Chargers look for back-to-back victories for the first time since November of previous year.

On Sunday, the San Diego Chargers played what may very well be their final game at Qualcomm Stadium, and they went out in victorious fashion. They are among three National Football League teams looking at the Los Angeles area to relocate next season.

The Chargers are 3-0 ATS in their last three games as underdogs against the Raiders.

The Chargers Cannon went off when Woodhead caught a 20-yard touchdown pass. Weddle, 30, will become a free agent after this season. It was Danny Woodhead who had the quality at running back; he ran the ball only eight times for only 10 yards, but scored a rushing touchdown, and caught six passes for 50 yards and three scores. Defensively, San Diego is allowing 24.9 points and 357.6 yards per game.

Rookie running back Melvin Gordon’s season is done because of torn cartilage in his left knee. After a wild scramble, Rivers jumped on it. The Chargers moved down the field for Lambo’s 28-yard field goal for a 9-0 lead. Oakland’ Leo Araguz punted 16 times and Darren Bennett of the Chargers had 11 punts. Rivers has three touchdown passes in his last three games. Callahan was sacked two days later.

Melvin Gordon left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury after gaining 41 yards on 15 carries. Butler’s interception came on a pass into the end zone. “Guys like (LaDainian Tomlinson) and (Kris) Dielman and those guys playing at a high level and keeping out team afloat”. He was sacked four days later.

With the uncertainly of relocation lingering over both franchises, Woodson tries to help the Raiders sweep this season series and hand the Chargers a seventh straight AFC West defeat Thursday night. Tannehill has not progressed as fast and as far as the team would have liked, the future head coach of the Dolphins will undoubtedly wish to bring in someone to compete with the current Miami signal-caller.

Now the Chargers will finish out the remainder of the season on the road, facing the Raiders and the Denver Broncos.

The departure of the Chargers won’t necessarily prompt San Diego to stop trying to build a new stadium. Darren McFadden rushed for 97 yards and Michael Bush 95 as Oakland ran for 251 yards.
