When it comes to comebacks, Barcelona set the bar last week.

Leicester City have been one of the worst teams in the Premier League this season and look like the worst team in the Champions League quarterfinals, but that doesn’t mean the big clubs want to face them.

The one success story of this season, in terms of the Premier League, is the fact Leicester have made it into the quarter-finals.

Defeat to a side that is now three points behind Barcelona in La Liga would have been no embarrassment, but the Foxes showed they are more than a match for anyone on home turf with a brilliant 2-0 win. “We’ve played Barca pre-season so it would be nice to play them again”, he said.

Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are already in the last eight, while Manchester City could join the Foxes with victory at Monaco on Wednesday night.

Leicester added another chapter to their incredible story by coming back to beat Sevilla 3-2 on aggregate to seal their place in the last eight of their first European campaign. The manager has a go at some of them.

Slaven Bilic’s side have mustered no wins from the last four league games, and the Croatian coach has admitted that it will be hard to stop that poor run from continuing against a transformed Leicester.

Morgan stabbed in Riyad Mahrez’s free-kick to open the scoring in the 27th minute.

Shakespeare also defended Leicester striker Jamie Vardy against allegations of cheating from Sevilla’s Samir Nasri. “We will find out when we go back in after training”, Shakespeare said. I didn’t do anything with my head…

“The players’ image has tarnished a little bit”, he said.

Leicester City’s 2-0 win over Sevilla on Tuesday night booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

“He has initiated the type of positive response that we hoped change would bring, showing great leadership qualities and composure under considerable pressure to produce two very important results”.

Leicester moved further in the tournament, becoming the only English side to still survive in the tournament. Slaven Bilic’s side have lost their last two Premier League matches and have not won in four league fixtures.

Craig Shakespeare has warned Leicester City they can not allow their sensational Champions League exploits to affect their Premier League preparations.

“It was such a tough game against a top team”. “That is my only sad thing”.

“We played Barca in pre-season and it would be nice to play at the Bernabeu”. “The talk straight after the game was to improve the away record”, he said.

“These players enjoy pressing from the front”.
