Clinton ready to ‘move on’ after Benghazi report clears her of wrongdoing

July 06 05:19 2016

On September 2012, an attack by a Libyan militia on an American diplomatic compound in Benghazi left four Americans dead.

Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, was secretary of State during the time of the attacks and has taken “full responsibility” for what happened, Stevens said.

Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, died in the attacks.

Today’s Benghazi report reveals nothing new about Hillary Clinton’s role and the revelations do not look like they can affect the November election. Republican rival Donald Trump, although silent on the subject Tuesday, has frequently lashed out at Clinton over Benghazi.

And now over the last two days we have two separate reports – one Democratic, one Republican – from an initially bipartisan House investigation into the attacks.

Clinton noted her lengthy testimony before the panel previous year, adding: “We owe it to those fearless Americans to make sure we learn the right lessons from this tragedy”.

Congressional report blames government failings for deaths of United States ambassador and three others in Libya four years ago. “No one even missed a paycheck”, said Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Special committee of the US Congress House of Representatives made a sensational report on events in Benghazi in 2012. Ever since his death, Mrs. Smith has blasted Clinton many times since his death for “lying” to her and for how the State Department handled the attack.

Hillary, meanwhile, says she wants to appoint a “trade prosecutor” to bring cases before the World Trade Organization, and to fight “unfair trade practices like when China dumps cheap steel in our markets or uses weak rules of origin to undercut our vehicle makers”.

Limbaugh also charged that Clinton is a security risk to the country and the media doesn’t seem to care.

However, it doesn’t appear to include too many new nuggets, certainly not enough that could change people’s perception of Clinton and she performed in her role as Secretary of State during the entire USA experience in Libya.

“It is clear, in hindsight”, she added, “that the facility was not sufficiently protected by the State Department and the Defense Department”.

“I do not blame Hillary Clinton or Leon Panetta“, Dr. Anne Stevens said. Clinton “put these people in harms way and did not, did not allow any security for them”. A committee spokesman said a transcript of the 2 ½-hour interview will be posted on the panel’s website.

Interestingly, seven other congressional panels have also investigated the same incident. That’s despite several Republican-led probes largely exonerating her. His statements helped dash McCarthy’s chances of becoming House Speaker.

She charged the committee’s goal was to damage her candidacy. The most recent, by the Select Committee on Benghazi, discovered in the course of its review that Clinton had used a private email server to conduct official business while running the State Department.

“This is not about one person”, he said.
