Coldplay To Headline Glastonbury

Their 2011 set was later voted the Top Glastonbury Moment of the event’s long history by BBC Radio listeners.

The band were a late bet to lead the festival last year, and have remained at the front of bookies’ thoughts consistently into this year.

Titled “Cancel Coldplay’s headline slot and get a rock band“, Felicity Martin’s mission statement reads: “Coldplay are an insult to music fans all over the world”.

Coldplay will be the Sunday night headliners at this year’s Glastonbury, making Chris Martin and co. the first band ever to top the bill four times.

Given that organisers gave Kanye West a headlining slot after much protest and petitioning, we’re expecting some left-field acts to be joining Coldplay at Glastonbury come June.

Glastonbury 2016 takes place from Thursday, June 23 to Sunday, June 26.

“Let’s prevent this musical injustice now!”

This won’t be the first time that Beyonce has stepped foot on the main stage at Glastonbury as the global superstar headlined the event back in 2010, so she knows how it works.

The four-piece played the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month following the release of their most recent album A Head Full of Dreams.

Adele and Muse are now the two leading rumours to headline the Saturday and Sunday night on the Pyramid Stage.
