Concept Art Reveals A More Powerful, Apocalypse-Enhanced Magneto In ‘X-Men

January 02 11:11 2016

In this new concept art, Apocalypse gives Magneto a power boost, while two of his other Horsemen, Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Psylocke (Olivia Munn), watch in the background. Magneto is already enormously powerful and now Apocalypse has given him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before. However, as seen in the X-Men: Apocalypse teaser trailer, he’s perhaps most risky for what he can do to those who serve him, and this isn’t just limited to subverting their will. En Sabah Nur can also increase the power of of his Four Horsemen, and in Magneto’s case, fans will see the Master of Magnetism use his powers in ways we’ve never seen on the big screen before. One of those favorite memories was landing her mutant role in Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men film.

Imbued with the power of Oscar Isaac’s titular and ancient deity, Magneto’s abilities have evidently been jacked going into the earth-shattering events of Apocalypse, and that can only spell danger for the mutant and human population alike. In the “X-Men” comic books, Quicksilver is known as Magneto’s son.

It is worth noting that the concept art showcasing Magneto is reminiscent of the concept art for “X-Men: The Last Stand”.

Apocalypse is coming, and from the look of things he will pose the greatest challenge ever faced by Charles Xavier’s misunderstood team of super powered mutants.

Olivia Munn is showing off her Psylocke costume in a new pic from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016 and also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lucas Till, and Lana Candor.
