The CRPF, local police and the army personnel have been engaging with the terrorists since last evening in which two CRPF jawans were martyred and 11 personnel injured. A Deputy Commandant among nine sustained injuries. “All civilians evacuated from building at Pampore where an encounter is taking place”.
Three to five militants are suspected to be holed up inside the training institute complex, senior police officer Javid Gilani said. One civilian was injured in the attack, which occurred on the southern outskirts of Srinagar, the main city in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

The encounter broke out after a group of two-three militants, according to sources, attacked a CRPF vehicle in saffron town on Srinagar-Jammu around 4:15 pm on Saturday. He was shifted to the army’s 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar’s Badamibagh Cantt where he succumbed to his injuries.
Earlier, three CRPF troopers and a civilian have been killed and at the very least 10 different individuals together with civilians injured in a fierce gunfight between militants and safety forces in South Kashmir on Saturday. In the immediate retaliation, police burst tear smoke shells and used pellet guns.
The CRPF bus that came under heavy fire belonged to 79 Battalion.
Security forces officers associated with the operation said that they were sure that no civilian was trapped anywhere at 9.00 pm.
As per the reports, the militants took shelter in nearby EDI Institute firing several rounds of fire.
One of those evacuated claimed that they were asked by militants to leave because they did not mean any harm to civilians.
