Curry scores 25 as Warriors breeze past Bulls 125-94

The Golden State Warriors are back on track in their season of dominance.

The Golden State Warriors completed another drubbing of an Eastern Conference playoff team on Wednesday, beating the Chicago Bulls, 125-94. A banged-up Andrew Bogut added six points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.

Leandro Barbosa tossed an underhanded lob from just inside the 3-point line to Andre Iguodala for a dunk that left Curry with his hands on his head in amazement. The Warriors can play a certain type of basketball that’s at a pace and level that no team so far this season has been able to match.

“I’ll bet you out of, I don’t know, 15 players, probably 16 would say that we would beat them”.

Up by as much as 21 in the second, the Warriors at one point had the Bulls so discombobulated that Taj Gibson was guarding Thompson while Aaron Brooks was trying to fend off Shaun Livingston in the post. In the second half Butler scored 19 points to Rose’s eight. The Detroit loss was especially troubling as the Warriors fell by 18 points, while the Nuggets loss was by a lone field goal. Kerr, who took a leave of absence to recover from two back surgeries, is on the road trip. “We’re trying to win another championship and if we’re gonna get every team to play their best shot, it helps sharpen our skills and sharpen what we need to do if we want to keep winning”, he said.

1995-96 Bulls’ record through 43 games: 40-3. A stern and focused demeanor isn’t necessarily a requirement in that locker room. Chicago got as close as 11 in the third quarter before two back-to-back three’s put the lead back to 17, and essentially finished off Chicago in the third quarter.

“They got embarrassed by Detroit kicking our butts, and they kind of refocused and locked in, and the last two games have been great games”, Walton said.

On the season, the Chicago Bulls average 102.1 points, 48.8 rebounds and 22.2 assists per game.

With play stopped after a foul under the basket, the ball landed in Stephen Curry’s hands, so the Warriors guard and the NBA’s reigning most valuable player casually flipped the ball over his shoulder and banked in a shot. He is expected to rejoin the team soon to begin his rehab.
