Salman went on to say that while Aamir thinks that Lagaan (2001) is his best film till date, according to him, Dangal is his best.
Aamir Khan’s latest outing “Dangal” is turning out to be the blockbuster hit of the year. In fact, there is not much similar between the both movies except the topic of wrestling and few.
The collections are expected to be better than any other films which were released earlier this year. Critics are done comparing notes, and now trade hawks are keeping a keen eye on the box office. Will Dangal beat sultan? That’s why Dangal will make you stand up and applaud much after the National Anthem has played out in the cinema hall. These were the questions everyone had on their minds.
The film entered the Rs100-crore club by the end of Sunday, collecting Rs106.95 crore at the domestic box office after its release across 4,300 screens in India and close to 1,000 screens overseas.
Technically, not the opening weekend! This is not the first time that such a thing has happened on a social media platform. So definitely, Sultan obviously had a bigger opening day.
The first casualty was “Rock On 2” that released on November 11, three days after demonetization kicked in. The film ran packed houses throughout the weekend thus making Rs. 34.82 crore approximately on Saturday and a mindboggling Rs. 42.35 crore on Sunday approximately.
Like we said, Sultan obviously had a brilliant opening day because it released on Eid – a holiday. Hence crossing the 100 crore mark in its first weekend, “Dangal” has registered a colossal Rs 106.95 crores at the ticket window.
Dangal 3rd Day Collection was mad like anything. Which is the highest ever third day collection.
On day one, Dangal made Rs 29.19 crore from its Hindi version, with an additional Rs 59 lakh from its Tamil and Telugu versions, taking the total to a solid Rs 29.78.
Despite grappling with demonetisation, the Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal promises to take Bollywood out of the rut that it found itself in after notebandi kicked in. So it’s again Sultan which has won Round 2!
