De Blasio demands Cruz apologize to New Yorkers

Even though many experts say that Ted Cruz meets the criteria for being elected as president, his mother being a USA citizen, Trump claims that this issue was never fully adjudicated, so he would be a risky choice for the GOP.

The salvos exchanged between the two men, who are both scheduled to appear at a tea party event in SC later Saturday, marks another escalation between the two leading GOP candidates a little more than two weeks before the first votes are cast in Iowa.

The Donald Trump-Ted Cruz bromance isn’t just over: it’s turned into all-out war.

But “New York values” ends up signifying a whole lot more than “flip-flopper” ever did: “I think most people know exactly what New York values are”, Cruz suggested during the debate.

Trump defended the city against Ted Cruz quite nicely, however, citing that “New York values” are those that were shown the day the World Trade Center was destroyed.

The New Yorker took aim not at Trump, but the media, calling on TV news outlets to hold Trump more accountable for his statements.

Giuliani, who led the city through the 9/11 attacks, joined the city’s current mayor, Bill de Blasio, in echoing Trump and praised the city for its resilience in the face of worldwide terror.

Cruz declined to comment on the Times report when asked by a CNN reporter during an appearance in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday. “And the bottom line is he does not understand, in the least, NY values”.

Cuomo said Cruz should apologize to New Yorkers.

With Cruz nipping at his heels, Trump ventured into more traditional political territory on Friday.

In a radio interview, Cuomo added, “If he had any class, he would apologize to the people of NY – not that I believe they need it or they want it”.

Catsimatidis told MSNBC of his own New York-based criticism of Cruz. I think he came across badly. Cruz had given a backhanded apology not for his comments, but to New Yorkers who were harmed by liberal politicians. He tweeted: “Based on the fact that Ted Cruz was born in Canada and is therefore a “natural born Canadian“, did he borrow unreported loans from C[anadian] banks?”

“Where the government mandates how much soda you can drink, where it is illegal to protect yourself with a firearm, and where its elected officials say that people who value unborn life aren’t welcome?”

‘Everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage, ‘ Cruz said.
