Draymond Green Trashes Knicks for Not Playing in-Game Music

The Knicks’ entertainment team tested an old-school concept in the first half of Sunday afternoon’s game against the Warriors in Madison Square Garden.

Golden State’s Draymond Green was more pointed in his criticism. Steph Curry said the Warriors resorted to beatboxing in their pregame layup line, and players from both teams said the first half felt awkward without music. “We are doing great right now and we have to continue to improve on a couple of things and get better and we will see those guys (the Warriors) down the road”. And so it’s like computers can do anything for us – it’s like going back to paper. “This is how it’s going to be for a while, so we have to get used to it”. Golden State responded with a 9-3 run that ultimately put the Kicks away. In a message posted on the scoreboard to fans, they said it was “so you can experience the game in its purest form”. NY inched to within 1 point of the Warriors after Kristaps hit a three-pointer (97-96). Less than three minutes later, Porzingis knocked down a one-footed step back over Green to close out the first half. The Warriors move to 51-11 as they travel to Atlanta tomorrow to take on the Hawks. “Nah, a 10-point shot definitely wouldn’t work, but maybe a 4-point shot”. This is not enough for a player who the Knicks should hope defines their franchise for the next 10 years. “They got after it”. The opportunity to make the playoffs, of course, is all but gone. “The second group kept us in there”. Curry was 2 of 8 from the floor, missing his four 3-pointers.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry shot a combined 15-49 in the loss to Chicago, notably forcing up shots early in the shot clock in the fourth quarter, and looked visibly exhausted and frustrated. Sunday’s contest is the final meeting in the season series and the lone trip for the Warriors to MSG. They trail the Pistons by 5.5 games for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. Noah, who has been a $72 million bust in his first season as the Knicks starting center, walked around the locker room without a limp or crutches, just six days after surgery to remove a bone particle from his left knee. Boston will visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday and the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

Mavs 104, Thunder 89: Seth Curry scored 22 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 18 points and 12 rebounds as Dallas beat Oklahoma City.

He wound up with 31 points as the Warriors stopped the bleeding after losses to the Washington Wizards and the Chicago Bulls.
