Ed Orgeron made call to fire OC Cam Cameron

Miles’ oldest son, Manny, is a walk-on quarterback at North Carolina, and the coach indicated he might make a trip to see the Tar Heels visit Florida State on Saturday.

Orgeron says all he wants to do is see the Tigers win and be happy.

“His legacy speaks for itself”, said White, who was a little shaken as he spoke with reporters.

Orgeron said he’s tapped current assistant Steve Ensminger, a former LSU quarterback, to replace offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, who was sacked on Sunday along with Miles. Miles was a guest on the “Dan Patrick Show”.

Did he fight against it?

“I’m coaching football”, said Fisher, who added he doesn’t tell his representation how to handle interest from other schools but not to “accept anything, don’t talk anything, don’t do anything”.

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva made the announcement Sunday, saying Miles has done a “tremendous job” and been a “great ambassador” for LSU, but that “it’s apparent in evaluating the program through the first month of the season that a change has to be made”.

Miles thanked Alleva for the opportunity to speak to his players in a team meeting Sunday. Obviously with one of the most successful coaches in recent memory getting fired, I expected a decent amount of media coverage. “Coach Miles has done a tremendous job here and he’s been a great ambassador for our University, which makes this even more hard”.

Oakland’s JaCoby Stevens says he’s sticking with his commitment to LSU for now. “He said, ‘When do you want me there?'”

“Well, this is about our young men”, he said. He was previously the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator after coming to LSU in 2015 with a well-traveled resume. The move came less than 24 hours after Auburn defeated No. 18 LSU 18-13 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Still, he became a polarizing figure despite winning 114 games, second only to Charles McClendon’s 137 victories, by infuriating many fans with his stubbornness to change his offensive scheme as well as his play-calling decisions and poor clock management. He’s been the Tigers’ tight ends coach since 2010. LSU also played for another national title.

“I always review everything”.

“First of all, Les Miles is one of the most respected colleagues in terms of the rivalry that we’ve had, the competition that we’ve had, the great teams that they’ve had”, Saban said in his weekly press conference. During the almost 10-minute interview, Miles indicated he would like to coach again.
