Email: Clinton campaign sought to cancel Wall Street speech

October 16 02:58 2016

Three transcripts released as part of the hack of her campaign chairman’s emails did not contain any new bombshells showing she was unduly influenced by contributions from the banking industry, as her primary rival Bernie Sanders had suggested.

The emails have contained some embarrassing information about the inner workings of the campaign.

“They can throw around “Thomistic” thought and “subsidiarity” and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they’re talking about.”

The day before the email, Broaddrick had tweeted, “I was 35 years old when Bill Clinton, Ark”.

Another release this week includes some messages that contain offensive comments made by campaign staffers about Christian teachings.

The trove of emails have included partial transcripts of Clinton’s lucrative private speeches, including one address to Brazilian bankers in which Clinton was quoted as saying her “dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders”.

And, a collection of messages about China deal with Clinton’s statements about confronting that country’s government as chief of the State Department.

Clinton made the paid speeches to the financial giant between the time she left her position as secretary of state and started her White House bid. The email also raises the question why Brazile, who was a vice chairwoman at the DNC and a CNN contributor at the time of the email, seemed to be rooting for Clinton while she was in a primary battle with Vermont Sen.

Finally, Clinton is facing scrutiny for hacked emails that indicate she told Chinese officials they need to control North Korea’s aggression or face a buildup of USA defensive missile systems in the region. “Our base would go wild for it – an acknowledgement that she is determined to “see” real people, despite her own good fortunes“.

Among the emails was a compilation of excerpts from Clinton’s paid speeches in 2013 and 2014.

“Are we going to put this back on Donald Trump?”. “How do you get to the golden key, how do we figure out what works?” she said.

“As a longtime political activist with deep ties to our party, I supported all of our candidates for president”. Clinton came out against the Keystone Pipeline roughly two weeks later.

The Clinton campaign tried to move the IL presidential primary to a later date. She also emphasized that, as a senator, she had great relations with Wall Street and had a lot of respect for “the work you do and the people who do it”.

“We’re witnessing another effort to steal private campaign documents in order to influence an election”, Clinton campaign spokesman Glen Caplin wrote in an early version of the post shared with Politico. US authorities believe the hacks are the handiwork of Russian hackers looking to influence the presidential election. Trump has said he admires President Vladimir Putin.

The screenshots began appearing on Wednesday night, less than 12 hours after a new batch of Podesta e-mails published on WikiLeaks revealed that his iCloud password was “Runner4567“.

The leak of the video, meanwhile, has sparked rumors that many more tapes of Trump saying things far worse exist. “In the meantime, a friend describes the choice facing voters in November this way: A vulgar, boorish lout and disrespecter of women, with a serious impulse control problem; or a scheming, robotic liar with a lifelong appetite for power and an entourage riddled with anti-Catholic bigots”.
