The weekend is still on the chilly side, but it’s at least quiet. Thursday also have a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. This is especially true along the coast. “Accumulations should amount to just a whitening of unpaved surfaces”.
A very different weather pattern sets up on Sunday as the area will see scattered showers with a small chance for a few rumbles of thunder. Snow will turn back to rain as temperatures warm up on Tuesday. “There are a lot of factors with this particular storm which makes predicting what’s going to happen very hard”.
Meanwhile, thereafter, the pattern looks breezy and cooler for Good Friday, with a mostly sunny and pleasant weekend now anticipated for Easter Weekend. I foresee road conditions becoming tricky today with low visibility developing with heavy bands.
The day started with mostly cloudy skies and then a little sun break moved in and really cooked things up for us.
The high for Saturday will only be 37 degrees, according to the National Weather Service, and rain, sleet and snow are expected throughout the day and night. This time of the year we should be getting close to 50 degrees.
Here is the good news.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and continued mild.
Staying warm tonight with lows in the 30s and 40s due to partly to mostly cloudy skies and stronger winds. Again, expect them to fall as rain. The border between rain and snow will be splitting the Triad, with better snow chances north, and all rain chances south. Even with a few more clouds than yesterday, high temps should still reach the low 40s in most locations. On Tuesday it will be more steady in the morning, and then slowly taper off. Highs will peak in the upper 70s. Plentiful sunshine will be the rule on Monday as winds diminish and as we anxiously await the arrival of more spring-like temperatures.
