Burnley head coach Sean Dyche had his say on his side’s 2-0 home win against Watford in the Monday night yesterday.
The discriminatory comments came to light when they were retweeted by other people after he scored his first Premier League goal for Burnley in the team’s 2-0 win over Liverpool on August 20. “I have to watch my words so I don’t get in trouble but we got bullied, all over the pitch to a man”.
Burnley enjoyed some good early pressure and went close in the ninth minute when Watford failed to clear a right-wing corner and George Boyd’s snap-shot from the right of the area was tipped over by Heurelho Gomes.
“I am not happy with this performance, until now I have always said the performances have been good, that we were growing each game, but today this stopped”.
“We played so well against Manchester United recently but it never really looked like it was going to happen”. He had a chance to pull a goal back but his effort went wide after his swift run into the box from the left flank. Keane, on the other hand, did his reputation no harm at all at a time when English centre-halves are not exactly growing on trees.
However, it did not result in a change of fortune as the home side extended their lead with a goal that meant the last seven Watford have conceded in the league have all come from from crosses.
And, of course, we can’t not mention the events of last Sunday afternoon when Watford deservedly beat Man United 3-1 through a combination of great performances and quality finishing. Whilst he only has one goal and one assist in the Prem so far this season, he is a real handful for any opposition defence and his presence will be missed by the team.
“We got bullied and we didn’t reach our standards”.
“Fair play to Burnley“.
Hendrick was disappointed to find the net just twice last season, but was still influential enough in the Derby midfield to persuade Sean Dyche to spend a club record £10.5million on him.
But in substitute Isaac Success, Walter Mazzarri at least found someone with the energy and intent required to bring Watford back into the match.
