Facebook’s Zuckerberg to give Harvard graduation speech

In just a year, Zuckerberg says, nearly 3 out of 4 millennials in the U.S donated to charity; and nearly 7 out of 10 raised money for charity. But it’s not just about giving money.

He also suggested volunteering and talked about his own time teaching kids at a local Boys and Girls Club about entrepreneurship.

In fact, the universal basic income is being explored around the world, with pilot programs and experiments underway in Holland, Finland, Kenya, and in small pockets in the US too.

One of the world’s richest people, the Facebook CEO spoke with admiration of the student’s attitude in the face of his uncertain situation. Today we spend 50 times more treating people who are sick than we spend finding cures so people don’t get sick in the first place.

“There’s pressure to turn inwards”, Zuckerberg said.

It’s about the forces for the flow of immigration, trade, and knowledge; against the forces that would slow them down.
