Fears of ‘alt-right’ anti-Semitic support for Trump mark latest campaign hire

“There has been no bigger cheerleader in the media for Donald Trump than Breitbart News, and he just hired his biggest cheerleader to continue massaging him”, said Ben Shapiro, a former Breitbart editor.

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and vice presidential hopeful Ajamu Baraka made their pitch for America’s votes during a Wednesday night town hall aired on CNN.

By hiring Bannon and promoting pollster Kellyanne Conway to campaign manager, while Manafort retains his campaign chairman title, Trump may be formalizing the negative tack the Clinton team has been anticipating.

This election season, the site has tweaked Republican establishment figures like Rep. Paul Ryan (R) of Wisconsin and fulminated against Mrs. Clinton, while acting as a reliable booster of Trump.

“Trump is finding joy in the campaign trail, which is very important”.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has overhauled his campaign in an effort to make up ground against Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.

“August is not October, let alone November”, she said.

Conway claimed Clinton has made her campaign about Trump and does not have an “uplifting, generational, inspirational message much like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and JFK”.

Conway is skilled at presenting complex data in a way that’s easily digestible, said GOP strategist Phil Musser, who is familiar with her work on state and congressional races.

It’s also another sign Trump simply does not care what more moderate members of his party think, and possibly that he is laying the groundwork to scapegoat those same Republicans for sabotaging his campaign.

On the day of Bannon’s hire, the site featured an article calling the Anti-Defamation League- an organization founded to combat anti-Semitism- a “hallowed” organization that had been transformed and was now defending Jew-haters by condemning “Trump’s call Monday to ban anti-Semites from entering the United States”, i.e. his proposal to introduce religion and ideology tests for potential immigrants and asylum-seekers.

Bannon’s ascension solidifies an informal, mutually beneficial relationship between Breitbart, which has unapologetically championed Trump, and the campaign.

Trump’s installation and elevation of Paul Manafort, a lobbyist who has advised past mainstream Republican presidential candidates, coupled with the June firing of campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, held out the possibility that Trump would morph into a more reined-in, conventional candidate than the one who gleefully trounced his Republican opponents during the primary. I don’t want to change. The majority of analysts expect more controversial statements and a change back to the old Trump style that never really went away.

Conway isn’t the only person in her family who has worked to take down the Clintons.

In place of that, Trump is offering Bannon. “That’s how he became the nominee in large part”, she continued. This is considered as the second significant shake-up of Trump’s campaign.

Conway has already sought to add a new dynamic to the campaign. “He’s pro-entrepreneurship. And for women, also, we talk to a lot of “security moms” and ‘security non-moms, ‘” Conway said.

Trump has lost support and alienated voters in droves in a fortnight which saw him insult the Khans (the Muslim parents of slain American Muslim soldier Humayun Khan); call Hillary Clinton “the devil”; say it was “very sad” that women at Fox News were “complaining” about being sexually harassed; and appear to joke about being given a Purple Heart by a war veteran.

Manafort, in his memo, insisted the campaign is in a strong position to win.
