According to MPAA Chairman and CEO Charles Rivkin, the studio’s decision to primarily film Black Panther in Georgia helped generate $83.9 million for the Peach State.

Excitement for Black Panther is palpable right now. The film is set for release on February 12th in the United Kingdom and on February 16th in the States. The latter act was tapped to co-produce and curate the soundtrack alongside TDE head Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.

There is much to admire about this Marvel movie which takes a side-step from the Avengers to follow a story in a fresh new setting and with characters that operate independently of their fellow superheroes. “Actually – it’s better”, and the New York Daily News puts it simply with: “‘Black Panther‘ matters”.
Entertainment Weekly said the movie’s “nuanced celebration of pride and identity and personal responsibility” was the movie’s “own true superpower”.
But Black Panther is the first black superhero from the current, blockbuster era of Marvel films, which has already included multiple iterations of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and Wolverine Porsha Williams.
“We are in 2018, it matters more now because diversity matters, representation matters”, Fabienne Colas said in Montreal in a Skype interview.
The actor also shared that the Black Panther suit made going to the bathroom a lot of hassle because he would have to get it off then put it back on. Would they have his perspective, like the perspective (Coogler) brought to the movie?
