Hillary Clinton continues to be the Democratic candidate who’s most well-liked within her own party, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll, but Vermont Sen. When AP did this in November, before any primary or caucus votes had been tallied, Clinton led Sanders 359-8 in pledged support, meaning her already substantial margin at the nominating convention has grown from 426 to 351. Two months ago, Clinton led Sanders by 22 points.
The former secretary of state scored a coup as she courts African-Americans, securing the endorsement of Rep. James Clyburn. These are the first tests of a more diverse electorate than those seen in the first two contests in Iowa and New Hampshire.
With Hispanics comprising about 28 percent of Nevada’s population, Clinton has made a months-long outreach to the Latino community in the state and has been emphasizing the issue of immigration in the final days of the campaign.
The South Carolina poll found Clinton winning all subgroups of voters, including men, women, white and black voters.
The claim was quickly batted back by the state’s Democratic senator Harry Reid, who was instrumental in securing Nevada’s “first in the west” position as an early-nominating state, in large part to ensure a more diverse state has a say early on in the primaries.
“I’ve got nothing against Bernie Sanders”, Mallory said. “He’s called him weak, he’s called him disappointing”, Clinton said. “The New York Times said his plans are not realistic” – might not sit well with you if you are a Sanders backer (as the guy on the phone was/is), but it’s far from out of bounds in terms of modern politics and polling.

With just hours before the caucuses, both candidates are trying to make the final case that they are the candidate who can be trusted on immigration by Latinos – though that is not without continued scrutiny of both. How much influence do you think they will have on this democratic vote?
GOP members, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have strongly opposed President Barack Obama nominating a replacement for Scalia, urging the process be halted until after a new POTUS gets elected.

Sanders is the only candidate in either party who’s viewed as somewhat or very compassionate, honest and likable by at least half of all registered voters, and has a significant advantage over Clinton among all voters on each of those measures.
He said that in the 2014 midterms, the most successful Democratic candidates were ones who embraced the Obama administration-and that when it comes down to it, things aren’t almost as bad in the country as some candidates suggest.
White Democrats are slightly more likely than non-whites to say Sanders is decisive, likable and inspiring, and they’re more likely to describe him as compassionate and honest. Reporter: Sanders also saying he is a feminist and this. The fact that the Democrats have same-day registration also adds an element of uncertainty to what Saturday’s outcome will look like.
