A Texas trucking company worker who was sacked Wednesday returned and shot another man before he killed himself, officials said.

Ohio’s attorney general says there will be “ample security” at the funeral for six of the eight people shot and killed in what authorities are calling a planned attack targeting one family.

The gunman was heard shouting “y’all ruined my life” before he started shooting, the sheriff’s office said, adding he walked past at least person in the office before he opened fire.

Katy ISD says the sheriff’s office is handling the investigation.

One sheriff’s deputy was also hurt as he banged his knee while entering the building.

The shooter was a former employee at the trucking company who was recently fired.

Numerous patrol vehicles are surrounding the facility.

Knight Transportation is a nationally known company, based in Phoenix, which runs a fleet of around 4,000 tractor-trailers and employs some 5,000 people.

Texas law enforcement officials say an active shooter situation at a trucking company outside of Houston is now under control.

Nearby schools were put on lockdown until police gave the all-clear.
