According to analysts, Ryan Reynolds’ long-gestating Deadpool movie is estimated to make around $55 million when it finally debuts on February 12. Maybe it fails because there’s no real joke to be had there; it relies on the outdated stereotype that women hate specific sex acts. Superhero fans were always going to see this movie no matter what.

Deadpool is directed by Tim Miller, with a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, and Leslie Uggams.
