Apple, like many companies has received plenty of hate in the past from customers, but this is on a whole new level.
Yikes, one very angry potential Apple customer chose to start walking around an Apple Store in Dijon, France, smashing everything in his path. On Thursday a man walks into a French Apple Store in the city of Dijon and starts smashing iPhones with a steel ball.
According to 9to5Mac, the man was heard shouting about consumer rights and it has been claimed he was upset with Apple over his warranty.
His weapon of choice to whack the electronic hardware: a metal ball for playing petanque or boules.
This is a video of a guy walking around an Apple store-maybe in France? The video continues for a little over a minute as the disgruntled person smashes tens of iPhones, before finally destroying a MacBook Air. They said no. So you know what’s happening? The man was seen wearing sunglasses was captured in a video by another customer, puzzled beyond wits at this erratic behaviour.
A security guard eventually came over to the man to challenge his behavior.
Another publication, Le Journal, reports that prosecutors pegged the damage at 50,000 euros. He was later handed over to the police, and an investigation is underway.
